Dance School - "Artista Famosa Salsa Classes"

Day 1 - Showtime!

To be present at any Salsa Congress and to bare witness to Interstate and
International Shows, truly is an experience. If you had been at the Congress
last year, you would have been witness to some pretty amazing Acts.
Incredible colours, costumes, such passion for dance, smiles,
choreography routines, death defying acts and "jaw-dropping" moves…
but then, you see that it gets better and you think "ok what now?" Well let's
just say that you had to Be There to Believe It. The Interstate Dance Schools
took us all by surprise with their incredible routines… such improvement from
all was just beautiful to see. How proud we all felt and how far we've come.
From LDA and Salsa Republic in Sydney to QLD Lenny and Mio to SA the
new La Bomba, and ACT Salsabor (who said there was no Salsa in Canberra?) And then, there were
the Internationals. And for the first time Japan (Salsabrosita and Ryoko & Ryu and Jayson (finally!)
Molina & Alessandra from Puerto Rico / Italy…everyone was truly surprised. And then A FASHION
SHOW "Salsa Style" Yes folks, ZEGAN Design offered an amazing Salsa Fashion Show where
some amazingly stunning outfits were presented and boy did that get the girls and boys attention!

But wait! There was more…something that wasn't on anyone's' Schedule, or part of the
Program. When the couple from Canada "Salsa Fanatics" showed us there delightful
performance, the crowd thought they had seen it all. But when the guy got on
HIS KNEES in what would have seemed to be, yes, "the Ultimate Question"….
well needless to say, that was truly unforgettable. The crowd literally stopped
breathing. And then the screams echoed through the Stadium, and the tears
began to roll down on people's faces. How better to make a Performance complete
at a Congress, than with a "Salsa Wedding Proposal". The words will remain with us
forever: "Would you be my Dance Partner, till Death do us part"? Through the tears
and laughter, the whole room stood to a Standing Ovation. What more would want from
such a Performance? Another Wedding Proposal? You better believe it !!

When the LDA Team were giving out their final "Goodbye's and Thank You's on
Sunday night, it proved to be a Surprise, no one expected. Out of the blue,
JASON rolls up onto the stage, and started to thank everyone as well, which
at first we thought was a bit unusual for the Photographer to do that, however
when he stood in front of ANGELA LAU and started going to an "On Your
Knees Position" the crowd went off ! Through his tears he managed to
express how surprised he was when the Canadian GUY proposed last
night since he thought he would be "the only one" but it didn't seem to
matter in the slightest. He told her he loves her and wants to marry her.
Angela's face was priceless and the Team's jaws dropped. The Crowd were
screaming and clapping, and although no one could believe the moment, our
hearts were filled with joy and happiness. Congratulations Guys!
